Welcome to Decision Shapers — the field guide for collective decision-making and the seven forces that shape every room.

The premise of this site is narrow and specific: most bad organisational outcomes do not begin in execution. They begin earlier — in the room where the decision was made. Capable people, reasonable data, plausible logic, and the wrong answer anyway. That gap is the territory of Decision Shapers, the field guide for team leads, founders, facilitators and board members who actually run decisions.

Seven forces shape every decision room: the Driver, the Challenger, the Integrator, the Executor, the Systems Thinker, the Constraint Holder, and the Boundary Breaker. They are not roles or personality types — context, not character, decides which one a given person activates. The shape of the room — which forces dominate, which are missing, which one is sliding into its shadow state — predicts the outcome more reliably than the quality of the data on the table. Read the room, name the imbalance, intervene with the lightest tool that fits.

The book is by Valerie Won Lee, drawn from years of work with executives, humanitarian leaders and policymakers globally. This site collects the pillar articles. The book is published by Brilliantio.
